Tell mommy this is a mermaid

What she actually said was, “when you put this on the computer, call it, ‘Tell mommy this is a mermaid.’” She knows how this works.

I was working at home so agreed to her oft repeated request to go to the river.

This all changed a couple years ago when the bridge went in.

Following bunny tracks

There were bunny tracks in the snow on the ground and, to my surprise, out along this branch. Brenna had to follow them.

No lollipop

I thought our prior stop at Westside Drive In for fish, chips and milkshakes would count as a “treat” but she was upset that I wouldn’t agree to also go to Powell’s Sweet Shoppe for a lollipop afterwards. “That was just lunch!” she insisted of the milkshakes. You can’t win ‘em all.
