Freezing Fog on the River

The gravity of the moment proved inescapable. I pedaled by but was pulled back around by the spectacle of sun flaring through fog and flashing off windows.

A mink in its dark winter coat swam by as I crouched watching the fog roll toward me, as if pushed by the invisible rays.

There were a spectacular few seconds as the sun shone through the foot bridge and fog at the same time it was reflecting from office windows back through the trees.
